Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS)
The Historic American Buildings Survey was established in 1933 to document America’s architectural heritage. Each recordation package combines measured drawings, a written narrative history, and perspective-corrected, large format photographs to produce a comprehensive, interdisciplinary record. All HABS project material is housed at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
