The Taylor-Cook House (HABS AL-439), also known as the Bledsoe-Cook House or Cook Place, was built by wealthy landowner Jesse Taylor in the late 1830s. The house is a very late vernacular example of the Federal high style in a rural Alabama setting. Large format photographic documentation was performed with Panamerican Consultants, Inc. prior to demolition.
